Ekayan is a catalogue of qualities of people. It is a tool for people to get recognized for whats admirable about them. It shows views of other people about a person in the form of crisp words rather than long sentences.
Why do we need it?
Recognition is a great motivator, and if a person gets recognized for his qualities, he will feel much more confident. Also, as sites dealing in commerce between strangers grow (like AirBNB), they are going to need a reputation system.

While their are other review mechanisms on various websites (Ex. LinkedIn recommendations), what makes EKayan stand out is the clear and concise information it is able to provide. You do not need to read tens of paragraphs to know a person.
